# MediKiosk > MediKiosk is an independent, open-source patient intake prototype for Indian outpatient departments. It supports multilingual voice-and-touch history-taking, medical document OCR, physician-reviewed draft summaries and FHIR R4 output. MediKiosk was built by Team WinExe in response to Smart India Hackathon 2026 problem statement 26047 from the Ministry of Ayush / All India Institute of Ayurveda. It is not an official government, ABDM or clinical service. ## Primary pages - [Product overview](https://medickiosk.in/): Purpose, capabilities, patient flow and frequently asked questions. - [Prototype demo video](https://medickiosk.in/video): Walkthrough of the patient and physician workflows. - [Source code](https://github.com/Medi-Kiosk/Medi-Kiosk): Open-source implementation and technical documentation. - [Full AI-readable overview](https://medickiosk.in/llms-full.txt): Detailed factual product context, limitations and terminology. ## Core capabilities - Structured medical-history interviews using voice or touch. - Interfaces in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. - Medical document OCR, entity extraction and chronological timelines. - Rules-based red-flag alerts that do not rely solely on a language model. - Editable draft summaries for physician confirmation; no autonomous diagnosis. - Consent scoping, role-based access, audit logging and FHIR R4 bundle generation. ## Important limitations - The public deployment is a prototype; use fictional test information only. - ABHA identity verification and the receiving ABDM/FHIR endpoint are mocked or sandboxed. - MediKiosk does not diagnose patients or replace professional medical judgment. - Production deployment requires independent security, privacy, compliance and clinical validation.
